The Arts Council of Cebu continues to subsidize the tuition and matriculation fees of needy but deserving students enrolled in music, film and other fields in the performing arts. The Arts Council of Cebu already has graduates in various arts courses. A voice major, Crystal Mae Esmero graduated from the Siliman University, Julius Mocorro, accomplished classical guitarist, graduated from Philippine Women's University. Elwyna Mae Lagare and Janus Quiamco, are graduates of the Film and Audio-Visual Communications from the University of the Philippines. Another graduate is Cebuana pianist, Chloe Canton  who took up her Masteral studies in Piano Performance at UP.

The Arts Council Scholarship fund continues to support the studies of two violinists, Sara Maria Gonzales and Joseph Brian Cimafranca. Both are studying at the St. Scholastica�s College and both are current members of the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

Scholarship Requirements:

ACCFI conducts screening of applicants to search for artistically gifted and talented students who intend to enroll in their chosen field of inclination in any accredited institutional education. The program is intended to ensure a continuing source of artists of excellence and leaders in the conservation and promotion of the Filipino artistic and cultural traditions.

  • Applicants must be Filipino citizens with outstanding ability in such art discipline, as Music (instrument and voice), Dance (ballet and folk), Theater arts, Film, and Creative writing;
  • above average intelligence
  • proficient in oral and written Filipino and English
  • without any debilitating illness
  • and currently a graduating High School student from a reputable school who is interested in taking up a college degree in Music, Dance, Theater Arts, Film, Journalism or any related course.
